GE Healthcare in the process of releasing a brand new machine. This machine minimizes variability and reduces the risk of errors performing a Western Blotting process. The issue they discovered was that there was pushback from scientists who saw Western Blot tests as an ‘artform’ and were reluctant to use a machine to do it.
The output was to create a microsite that was essentially a big form. Scientists were prompted to tell GE about the steps and processes they use to perform Western Blot tests. The bigger objective was to illustrate to the scientists that their ‘process’ wasn’t as unique as they thought.
I created wireframes to illustrate how we could design a highly graphical form. After we fine-tuned the structure then we went to work designing the page to be as engaging as possible.
